East Island City is a mix of industrial and urban areas.  The western part of the neighborhood is home to a number of warehouses and repair shops, while the central part is host to East Island City's hosuing projects.  Brownstones are present in the eastern portion, which is the location of most of the neighborhood's attractions.
==Points of interest==
The neighborhood is home to the [[National Union of Contemporary Arts]] (NUCA) at P. 45, near the intersection of Hancock Street and San Jacinto Avenue, as well as the [[LC24 Tower]], across the street from NUCA.

East Island City is based on the [[wikipedia:New York City|New York City]] neighborhood of [[wikipedia:Jackson Heights, Queens|Jackson Heights]] in Queens.
==Transport==
The [[Liberty City Subway]] has a [[Dukes Boulevard|stop]] at the intersection of Dukes Boulevard and Morris  Street; however, it is under construction, so it is not in service.  The closest in-service LTA station is [[Huntington Street LTA|Huntington Street]], in [[Cerveza Heights]].

East Island city is a neigborhood of Dukes and is south of Steinway and southwest of Meadows Park. East Island city is based off of Long Island City, Queens.
