::Absolutely. Sorry, I didn't mean to dismiss your idea. There should definitely be a [[Car Brands]] or [[Vehicle Manufacturers]] page, with a better name to replace [[:Category:Automotive Makers]]. That page could have a table showing the cars made by each of the main manufacturers. That should be linked to from here.
