Hi Everybody I'm new here (if you can't tell). I was wondering if any of you could help me with a glitch (or what i think is a glitch) in my copy of Grand Theft Auto San Andreas. When I am in San Ferrio the bridge called the kinkard bridge the minigun is on the San Ferrio side and when i use my cheat code to get a hunter and fly above it i use a parachute and when i am falling the game stops me in mid-air like i hit land or something. is it a glitch or is the game programed that way. Any help is welcomed.

Hi, and welcome to Grand Theft Wiki! Your problem sounds like it has something to do with the cheat. Here's a trick I learned for getting up there without cheating: hijack a train at Cranberry Station, and drive it until the engine is just under the concrete archway where the minigun spawn is. Then, get out the train, run down the grass hill next to where you stopped (down to the street underneath where you just stopped the train), and jack a car with enough power to get back up the hill (tricky, but you can wedge the car back onto the tracks right at the mouth of the tunnel...and make sure not to stray too far or the train will disappear!). Get the car alongside the train you just jacked, and use the car as a step onto the train's engine, then use the engine as a step to get onto the archway...kinda elaborate and time-consuming, but until you get a pilot's license and are able to get into aircraft, it's the best way I've found without using cheats, which tend to screw up gameplay/saving. Hope that helps! EganioTalk 05:28, 20 May 2008 (UTC)

This sounds like that you have not unlocked Las Venturas/The Desert, as there is an invisible barrier around that minigun spawn that doesnt get removed until after "Yay Ka Boom Boom" (where MT rings you to come to his ranch, therefore unlocking the desert). So yes, it is programmed into the game, but it gets removed.

Unless you have already unlocked the desert, in which case I have no idea. --Scunnysmith 16:36, November 14, 2009 (UTC)
