Angus' Bike Thefts is a vehicle theft side mission in The Lost and Damned, similar to Exotic Exports and Stevie's Car Thefts in Grand Theft Auto IV.

Description

Angus' Bike Thefts is available after "Bad Cop Drop", after which Jim Fitzgerald will eventually contact the player through the mobile phone regarding a business opportunity to procure a number of bikes, instructing him to call Angus for the job. The call is technically its own mission, "I Want One of Those", that is complete when the call ends, although bike theft missions are then available. The call from Jim may not occur for a while, perhaps even as late as after "Coming Down."

The outline of Angus' Bike Thefts is basically the same as Exotic Exports and Stevie's Car Thefts in that the player is required to steal and deliver 10 motorcycles to the Lost MC Clubhouse for Angus to sell to a contact who intends to export the bikes to Japan. Each theft is only initiated once the player contacts Angus through their mobile phone (by selecting the "Job" option under Angus' phonebook entry), prompting Angus to point out the location of a bike and possibly the behavior of its rider. In most occasions, the bike will either be parked with people nearby (hostile or otherwise) or being driven around a specific part of the city. The player is required to steal it and drop it off at the garage down the little alleyway to the right of the Lost MC clubhouse, after which the player is given an appropriate payoff depending on the bike's condition ($1,400 for no damage; $900 or $600 for moderate damage; $400 for heavy damage), and an autosave. If the player attains a wanted level during a theft, the player must "lose the cops" before they can proceed to conclude the theft.

Like Exotic Exports and Stevie's Car Thefts, the thefts are actually randomized in each playthrough (although it is still possible for the order of theft to remain the same after the player completes the first theft). However, the models of bikes to be stolen is certain to vary each time the same theft takes place, with the player tasked to steal anything from a PCJ 600 or Hakuchou to a Wolfsbane or Sanchez. Also, unlike Exotic Exports and Stevie's Car Thefts, the thefts have specific mission names to go along with them.

Completing all 10 bike thefts for Angus results in a respawning Bati 800 outside the player's safehouses.

List of thefts

Mission name Description
A Ride In The Park A dating couple is traveling from Middle Park, Algonquin on the targeted bike. As the biker behaves like a normal driver in traffic, the player can simply wait until they stop at a traffic light or traffic jam, and steal the bike as it stops. The bike starts out at Quartz Street and only begins moving when the player is within range.
Beachcomber

A rider (seemingly ignorant of his bike's value) is riding the targeted bike in circles at the Firefly Island beach in Broker. The player can choose to pursue the biker by acting aggressively (prompting the biker to flee), or wait until the biker slows down as he turns around to commandeer the vehicle (as the biker always travels around the same path). The player can also pick off or snipe the rider from a safe distance to avoid risking a chase, although a one star wanted level will be attained by doing so.

Delivery Boy's Hardship A delivery boy is riding the targeted bike around Chinatown, Algonquin. As the rider will naturally flee at the sight of the player, the player is required to use force to stop the bike. The bike starts out at the Bismark Avenue and Diamond Street, and only begins moving when the player is within range.
Ex-Display The targeted bike is on display at the Westdyke Autos showroom in Westdyke, Alderney. The bike usually comes with an alarm, and the player automatically attains a 2-star wanted level after stealing it.
Get Off Your High Horse The targeted bike is being ridden by a member of an opposing but small gang and is accompanied by two escorts on the same bikes. As the rider will naturally flee at the sight of the player, the player is required to use force to stop the bike. The bike starts out at the Charge Island-Dukes stretch of the East Borough Bridge, and only begins moving when the player is within range.
Short Stay Parking The targeted bike is parked on the upper level of the riverside multistorey car park in Purgatory, Algonquin. The bike usually comes with an alarm, and the player automatically attains a 2-star wanted level after stealing it.
Stripclub Hog The targeted bike is parked next to The Triangle Club in Northern Gardens, Bohan at the Leavenworth Avenue side as its biker is standing next to the bike with a club stripper. If the player walk near the bike, both the biker and the stripper will turn hostile and attempt to fistfight the player.
Take Out Liquor The targeted bike is parked at Dillon Street in Schottler, Broker, but is guarded by four Angels of Death members. It may be necessary to sufficiently injure or kill the gang before stealing the bike.
Tattoo Parlor Lament The targeted bike is parked in front of a tattoo parlor at the Lockowski Avenue-in Alderney City, Alderney, where an attendant (assuming the appearance of a member of the Korean gang) "is detailing it like he knows it's for sale". The player can easily obtain the bike as the attendant is not aggressive, and will either coward or flee from the scene.
Zorst Fumes The targeted bike is being ridden in a group of Angels of Death riders along the northernmost stretch of Plumbers Skyway in Alderney. It may be necessary to sufficiently injure or kill the entire group before stealing the bike.

Notes

  • The player can still complete the side mission after "Get Lost", as the garage where the bikes should be delivered remains intact.
