Burger Shot (known as The Burger Shot in GTA: Vice City) is a chain of fast-food restaurants which appear in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories and Grand Theft Auto IV. Burger Shot provides food to replenish health in both Vice City and San Andreas, whilst in Liberty City Stories the store is mentioned in radio commercials. The chain is based on Burger King. The name "burger shot" is a pornographic term referring to a photo or video scene with a close-up view of the female genitals.
In San Andreas, OG Loc works at the Marina store in Los Santos as a 'hygiene technician' after he is released from prison. OG Loc gives CJ missions from the store. The Redsands East store becomes an asset for Carl after completing the delivery side-mission.
Eating any meal will restore lost health and keep CJ from losing muscle, fat and health. The game reminds you to go eat at regular intervals. However, eating more than eleven meals within 24 hours will make CJ vomit (and lose fat). Eating choices also determine CJ's physical appearance and abilities.
In Grand Theft Auto IV, altering Niko's appearance is not possible, but he can still buy a Bleeder burger from any Burger Shot for $1 and fully restore his health. The player can download a Burger Shot theme for their phone via Vipluxuryringtones.com. Advertisements show a burger called the "Heart Stopper", consisting of six pounds of meat and cheese that will "kill someone in five seconds flat".
