A Caporegime is a captain of a mafia family that runs a crew of soldiers. The caporegime is only outranked by the Underboss and the [[[Boss|Don]], the leader of the family.
GTA III Era
Toni Cipriani and Vincenzo Cilli are notable caporegimes in the GTA III Era, each for the Leone Family in Liberty City. Vincenzo was made at some point before 1998 but was killed by Cipriani in the same year on a freighter ship. Mark Volpe was a caporegime for the Messina Family before disappearing, as the family suspected him to be a Liberty City Police Department informant, which turned out to be his brother Fredo.
