This is a list of Characters in the Grand Theft Auto series, listed between the letters J and K, and lists characters by surname. When surnames are not available, first names are used and then nicknames. To find characters whose names are known but are better known by nicknames (such as Melvin Harris, known better as Big Smoke), you can use the Find function. To access this, press the Control (Ctrl) and F keyboard buttons at the same time.

Some characters listed may appear in other Rockstar Games titles, such as Manhunt and Bully, but are listed here as they are in so way related to the Grand Theft Auto series. The characters listed either appear or are mentioned in a Grand Theft Auto game, or there is speculation they appear (such as Jimmy Hopkins supposedly appearing in GTA IV). Jeffron James Jeffron James is the co-host of the Fizz! show on the WKTT radtio station, alongside Marcel LeMuir and Jane Labrador. Voiced by: Patrice O'Neal.

Mary Jane Mary Jane runs an ice cream company in Anywhere City. Claude Speed steals one of her ice cream trucks during one mission. Appears in: 2
Janice Janice is, in 2001, a resident of Liberty City. She phones Chatterbox FM to complain to Fernando Martinez about his Fernando's New Beginnings business. Appears in: III
Chan Jaoming Chan Jaoming is the forty year old son of Hsin Jaoming and a member of the Jaoming Family, a Triad group in Liberty City. The LCPD believe him to be the families underboss. He was arrested in 1999 for possessing heroin and in 2003 for extortion. Appears in: IV
Hsin Jaoming Hsin Jaoming is the seventy-three year old leader of one of the Jaoming Family, a Triad group in Liberty City. He is the father of Chan Jaoming. The LCPD suspect him of numerous murders. He was arrested in 2002 for extortion, in 2004 for assault and in 2005 for racketeering. Appears in: IV

Javier is, in 1984, Janet Vance's latest boyfriend. He and Janet steal Lance and Victor's drugs, disappearing without a trace. Voiced by: Gregory Johnson.

Jeff Jeff is, in 2008, a resident of Liberty City who hires Niko Bellic to spy on his wife, who he thinks is cheating on him. He later kills his wife and has Niko dispose of her body. He remarries but suspects his second wife is cheating on him also. He is killed whilst crossing the street to confront his wife. Voiced by: Harry Chase.

Bobby Jefferson Bobby Jefferson is, in 2008, a former Secretary of Security Enforcement in Liberty City who has fallen under the influence of some Russian criminals in the city. Jon Gravelli has Niko Bellic protect Jefferson on his way to a speech. Appears in: IV
Walt Jefferson Walt Jefferson is a writer for the Liberty Tree newspaper in 2001. Appears in: III
Kiki Jenkins Kiki Jenkins is a thirty-two year old who Niko Bellic can date. She is employed by Goldberg, Ligner & Shyster. She resides in Little Italy, Algonquin, Liberty City. Voiced by: Kim Howard.

Jeremy Jeremy is, in 1998, a child who lives in Liberty City. He blinded his brother, Frank Junior, whilst playing with Vivisection. He is said to want to become a scientist when he is older. Appears in: III

Jerkov (born February 29, 1972 in Siberia) is the leader of the Russian Mafia in the Industrial Sector of Anywhere City. He employs Claude Speed to attack The Zaibatsu Corporation and the Hare Krishna. However, Claude later begins to work for the Loonies and later kills Jerkov. He is married to Sandra Tito. Jerry Jerry is, in 2001, a resident of Liberty City. He is a client of Fernando Martinez' Fernando's New Beginnings. He phones Chatterbox FM to defend Fernando and says that Fernando has saved his marriage. He has five children. Appears in: III
Old Uncle Jesse Old Uncle Jesse is a member of the Rednecks who resides in Anywhere City. Appears in: 2
Jessica Jessica is, in 2008, a twenty-three year old resident of Liberty City who takes Niko Bellic on helicopter rides. She has strong feelings for Brucie Kibbutz. Appears in: IV

Jethro is a mechanic who can normally be found with Dwaine. In 1986 he lived in Vice City and hanged out at the Boatyard but by 1992 had moved to San Fierro, where he worked as a mechanic for Xoomer. He later begins to work for Carl Johnson at his garage. Voiced by: John Zurhellen.

Jim-Jim Jim-Jim is a primate, possibly a spider monkey or gorilla, who is mentioned on advertisements for Pets Overnight.com, where a boy states that Jim-Jim had bitten him. Appears in: III
Fat Boy Jim Fat Boy Jim is a member of the Rednecks who is killed by Claude Speed on orders from Billy Bob Bean, the Rednecks leader. Appears in: 2
Spindly Jim Spindly Jim is a pimp who is killed by the protagonist of Grand Theft Auto 1 on orders from Brother Marcus. Appears in: 1
Jimi Jimi is a member of the Brotherhood of Jah Army of Love and is being attacked by the government but is rescued by the protagonist. Appears in: 1
Jimmy Jimmy is one of the stars of Just the Five of Us in 1986. He is a forty year old who looks like a child. In 1992 he is in the State of San Andreas and is interviewed by Richard Burns. In 1992 he claims to be fifty-one years old. Appears in: VC and SA
Jimmy Jimmy is a football star who asks Ned Burner for help, as his career is about to be ruined by reports stating he used performance enhancing drugs. Burner later hires Toni Cipriani to collect evidence about steroid use in sports. Appears in: LCS
Jimmy Jimmy is, in 2008, a resident of Liberty City. His car is stolen by Niko Bellic on orders from Vladimir Glebov. Appears in: IV
Jimmy the Shovel Jimmy the Shovel is targetted by No Chin, who has a bomb fitted in his car, which is defused by protagonist and Hang Yu. He later appears in Vice City when Samuel Deever has the protagonist disrupt a drug shipment for the Brotherhood of Jah Army of Love. Appears in: 1
Anne Job Anne Job is, in 1998, a resident of Liberty City. Appears in: LCS
Brother Joe Brother Joe is a member of the Brotherhood of Jah Army of Love. Appears in: 1
Larry Joe Larry Joe is the co-host of the Bait N' Switch program on VCPR in 1984. He is married to Marie Sue. Voiced by: Lloyd Floyd.

Joey Joey is, in 2001, a child resident of Liberty City and the son of Phil and his wife, who appear in an advertisement for the Maibatsu Monstrosity. Appears in: III
John-O John-O is a member of an intelligence agency who was scheduled to meet an informant, before Toni Cipriani breaks up the meeting by killing the informant and stealing some documents. Appears in: LCS
Oily Johnnie Oily Johnnie is a resident of Liberty City who runs Oily Johnnie's Massage Parlor in the Red Light District on Portland Island. Appears in: III
Johnny Johnny is, in 2001, a seven year old resident of Pike Creek, Shoreside Vale, Liberty City. His father, Bob, forced him to clean the bathroom from age three. He now works for Ragin and Ponzer during the week and works a photocopying machine in a basement on weekends, earning $23,000 a year. Appears in: III
Mr. Johnsane Mr. Johnsane had taken some documents from a law firm after it was bought and the protagonist is hired to retrieve the documents and kill him. Appears in: 1

Beverly Johnson is the mother of Carl, Sean, Kendl and Brian Johnson. She raised her children in a house in Ganton, Los Santos. She was killed in a drive-by shooting aimed at killing her son, Sean. Appears in: SA
Brian Johnson Brian Johnson is the son of Beverly and brother of Carl, Sean and Kendl Johnson. He lived in Ganton, Los Santos until his death in 1987. Appears in: SA
Candice Johnson Candice Johnson is a reporter for Public Liberty Online in 2008. Appears in: IV

Carl Johnson
Carl Johnson is the son of Beverly and brother of Sean, Kendl and Brian Johnson. He served as the protagonist of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. Originally from Ganton, Los Santos; he moved to Liberty City in 1987. He returns in 1992 for his mothers funeral and by the end of the year, owns a garage, a share in the Four Dragons Casino, manages rapper Madd Dogg and is one of San Andreas' biggest criminals. Voiced by: Young Maylay (Chris Bellard).

Kendl Johnson is the daughter of Beverly and the sister of Carl, Sean and Brian Johnson. In 1992 she began dating Cesar Vialpando, with Carl and Sean eventually accepting their love. She runs Carl's garage in San Fierro. Voiced by: Yo-Yo (Yolanda Whittaker).

Sean Johnson, also known as Sweet Johnson, is the son of Beverly and the brother of Carl, Kendl and Brian Johnson. He is the leader of the Grove Street Families and in 1992 is arrested but later released, continuing to run the gang. Voiced by: Faizon Love.

Cam Jones is a kleptomaniac safecracker who resides in Vice City. He owns his own business, Cam's Can Openers. In 1986 he was arrested by the VCPD after he was spotted running down the street with a safe he could not crack. Tommy Vercetti busts him out and Cam helps Tommy in a bank robbery. Cam can be killed by the player or by law enforcement officials, although he can also survive. Voiced by: Greg Sims.

Juan Juan is a member of Los Cabrones who accompanies Victor Vance in trying to get a package from Downtown, Vice City. Juan can be killed by the player. Appears in: VCS
Julio Julio is an associate of El Burro who informs him of some buses being used to smuggle people across the border. The protagonist later takes money to Julio from El Burro. Appears in: 1

Asuka Kasen is the co-leader of the Yakuza from 2000 to 2001, along with her brother Kenji, and then sole leader between Kenji's death and her own. She hires Mike in 2000/2001 but has her trust betrayed. She is a friend of Maria, who introduces her to Claude, who she then hires. Asuka is killed by Catalina for attempting to exact revenge for her brothers death. She is also the sister of Kazuki, sister-in-law of Toshiko and aunt of Yuka. Voiced by: Lianna Pai.

Kazuki Kasen
Kazuki Kasen is the leader of the Yakuza in 1998. He moved the Yakuza into Liberty City and began storing weapons. However, the Yakuza are severly weakened by Toni Cipriani working on the orders of Kazuki's wife Toshiko. Kazuki is killed by Toni on the orders of Toshiko. Kazuki is the brother of Asuka and Kenji. Kazuki may be the father of Yuka. Voiced by: Keenan Shimizu.

Kenji Kasen is the co-leader of the Yakuza, along with his sister Asuka, in 2001. He hires Claude on the word of Asuka but is later killed by Claude, pretending to be a member of the Colombian Cartel, on orders from Donald Love. Kenji is also the brother of Kazuki, brother-in-law of Toshiko and may be the father of Yuka. Voiced by: Les J.N. Mau.

Toshiko Kasen is the wife of Kazuki Kasen who hires Toni Cipriani to get back at her husband for neglecting her. She later has Toni kill Kazuki. Toshiko is the sister-in-law of Asuka and Kasen. She may be the mother of Yuka. Voiced by: Hannah Moon.

Ernest Keigel The fiction and stereotypically snarky and fast-talking Time Ranger whose penis is a time machine. When he masturbates he travels through time, ending up in a randomly chosen time and location. He is the star of The Time Ranger show on VCPR. Voiced by: Bill Lobley.

Keith Keith resides in London, working for Harold Cartwright. He appears knowledgeable, telling the protagonist the locations of a car and Midnight. Appears in: L 1969 and L 1961

Brucie Kibbutz is a thirty-one year old fitness enthusiast and steroid user who runs a garage in East Hook, Broker, Liberty City. Kibbutz hires Niko Bellic to kill Lyle and Tom Rivas. Niko stops working for him after learning that he is a legitimate business owner. Brucie also has Niko steal cars from around the city. Voiced by: Timothy Adams.

Johnny Klebitz Johnny Klebitz is a thirty-four year old protagonist of The Lost and Damned and a member of The Lost Brotherhood motorbike gang, leading the gang whilst Billy Grey is imprisoned. He helps Niko Bellic in a drugs deal, which turns out to be a LCPD sting, and later in a diamond deal with Isaac Roth, with Klebitz escaping with two million dollars, leading to Niko being sent to kill his friends. Voiced by: Scott Hill.

Kov-Kov Kov-Kov is a member of the Russian Mafia in Anywhere City. He is secretly addicted to Zaibatsu drugs, a compulsive gambler and suspected of blowing up a police headquarters. Appears in: 2
