Chinatown in Liberty City

Chinatown refers to an area in a large American city, primarily inhabited by Chinese and other east-Asian people. These areas often have large exhibits of Chinese culture. Two Chinatowns have appeared in GTA games so far:

Chinatown, Liberty City

In GTA III and GTA Liberty City Stories, Chinatown is an area on Portland Island, in Liberty City. It was once controlled entirely by the Leone Crime Family. Up until 1998 when the Sindacco Crime Family decided to further it's influence in Liberty City by moving in on Leone Turf, Including the Red Light District and Hepburn Heights (both of which would fall in complete Leone Control by the end of Liberty City Stories).

The Sindaccos began dealing drugs in Chinatown, and after they had been kicked out of Portland by Leone Capo, Toni Cipriani, the Liberty City Triads, backed by the newly formed Sicillian Mafia, took over part of Chinatown. By 2001 Chinatown is almost completely in Triad control (although the Leones still have businesses there) which leads to an all out gang war for dominance in Portland, won by the Leones, following the deaths of the 3 main triad leaders.

Chinatown, San Fierro

In GTA San Andreas, Chinatown is an area of San Fierro. It is ran by the San Fierro Triads
