This is most likely representative of the US Dollar used in the [[United States of America]], due to that being the setting for all but two GTA games to date (the two that aren't set in USA use the pound sign). It is directly said so by a [[military]] personnel in [[Area 69]] during the mission [[Black Project]] in the game [[Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas]], saying that the stolen [[Jetpack]] was " a 60,000,000 ''dollar'' project!" .
