Explosive Situation is a mission in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas given to protagonist Carl Johnson by San Fierro Triads leader Wu Zi Mu from his office at The Four Dragons Casino, located along The Strip in Las Venturas, San Andreas.
Mission
Carl has just frightened Johnny Sindacco into revealing that the Sindacco Family has been responsible for the trouble being caused to Woozie's new casino venture. Armed with this information, Carl is poised to push the mafia families out of Las Venturas, and begins to systematically dismantle their presence. Woozie next asks Carl to acquire a stash of dynamite being used at nearby Hunter Quarry. Carl goes there, collects the dynamite which were set to blow, and gets out of the quarry, while avoiding security. Carl then gives the explosives to Guppy, who was waiting outside the quarry.
Script
(Wu Zi Mu is playing minigolf in his room. He makes a putt, and Guppy places the cup so that Woozie gets a hole-in-one)
Wu Zi Mu: Ha ha ha! The glorious sound of a hole-in-one!
Guppy: Great shot, boss.
Wu Zi Mu: Thanks.
Carl Johnson: Not bad, Woozie.
Wu Zi Mu: So the Sindacco Family was behind the attempts to sabotage our venture. I wonder why it's only them and not the others.
Carl Johnson: Probably ain't just them. Rule of the streets: don't snitch. What we need...is to hit the mafia casino. Yeah, go jack the place.
Wu Zi Mu: Hey, hitting a casino isn't like gangbanging - it's a whole different league!
Carl Johnson: Yeah, you're right, it'll take some planning, but I'm down. Shit, I always wanted to pull a heist.
(Carl makes a putt, and Guppy moves the cup so he misses)
Carl Johnson: What the - ?
Wu Zi Mu: Bad luck. Listen. You're gonna need a crew and some special equipment.
Carl Johnson: Yeah, it'll take some explosives. Always got to blow up shit to pull a heist.
Wu Zi Mu: You know what? There's an open cast mine southwest of the city limits. They must have explosives.
Carl Johnson: I'll go peep it out.
(Carl steals four bundles of dynamite)
Carl Johnson: Special delivery for Woozie. Hey, be careful with that.
Guppy: You got it, CJ. Good work!
Reward
The rewards for completing the mission are $7,000 and an increase in respect. The missions Architectural Espionage and You've Had Your Chips are unlocked. The Quarrying side mission is also unlocked.
