Farewell, My Love... is a mission in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas given to protagonist Carl Johnson by Varrios Los Aztecas leader Cesar Vialpando from The Panopticon in Red County, San Andreas.

Mission

Catalina arrives at the meet. She kisses her new lover as Carl notices her. Catalina complains about Carl's racing instead of treating her well, even after what she had done for him. Carl argues that it's Catalina's fault, saying it's 'just business'. However, Catalina actually meant that she had feelings for him. Carl contradicts that he raced for the both of them, trying to fix relations between the two. However, Catalina already has another lover, Claude. She then challenges Carl to a race, wanting to prove that Carl is jealous and a coward.

Carl and Catalina hop on their respective vehicles as the race starts. Carl speedily traverses to different areas of Red County until he reaches the finish line near the town of Montgomery first. As Catalina and Claude reach the finish line, she complains that Carl had an advantage. Anyhow, Carl asks what his reward is, thinking it would either be a pink slip or money. What she gives him, however, is a deed to a garage in San Fierro, infuriating Carl. They need Claude's vehicle, as they will go off to Liberty City, and after another light argument, Catalina and Claude eventually leave.

Script

(Catalina climbs out of Claude's car and kisses him, and pulls a crowbar out of the trunk and approaches Carl with it)

Carl Johnson: Damn, man, now what?

Catalina: PIG!

Carl Johnson: What? What'd I do now?

Catalina: Oh, so THIS is where you been, eh? THIS is how you repay my tenderness! You prefer the curves of some car to those of a real woman?

Carl Johnson: Look Catalina, you called it off, remember, "just business".

Catalina: What kind of a man are you? When I say "just business", I mean that I love you! When I say, I no interested no more, I mean that I long for you! And when I say I missed you..!

(Catalina furiously smashes the crowbar against Carl's ZR-350 repeatedly)

Carl Johnson: Wait, Catalina, wait! Leave my car alone, I did this for us, for me and you!

Catalina: It's too late. I don't love you no more. I love another, OK?

Carl Johnson: What? Then what the fuck was this about?

Catalina: I cannot keep my passion holed up, they need a release. That was a good release, like hitting a man with a frying pan while he sleeps. This, CARL, THIS is my new man. Are you jealous? Are you going to fight for me?

Carl Johnson: No, no, I can take rejection.

Catalina: You are jealous and a coward! Now let's race!

Carl Johnson: Crazy bitch.

(Carl finishes first in the race)

Catalina: You had the unfair advantage!

Carl Johnson: Being a better driver ain't no unfair advantage.

Catalina: You think you're clever, but it is you who is missing the point! Not only he was racing, but he was satisfying me, fully! What are you gonna say about that?

Carl Johnson: The advantage of a stick shift, I guess. Yeah whatever, anyway, man, what is it, cash or pink slip?

(Catalina hands him the deed)

Catalina: There you go! Goodbye Mr. Johnson, I will NOT be missing you!

Carl Johnson: Hey, wait a minute, bitch! What is this shit?

Catalina: The deed to a garage in San Fierro. My lover needs his car so we can go to Liberty City.

Carl Johnson: Liberty City? Yeah, whatever, have a good time.

Catalina: I will.

Carl Johnson: Fine.

Catalina: OK.

Carl Johnson: Go, I ain't gonna miss you.

Catalina: GOODBYE!

Post-mission phone call script

Carl Johnson: Whattup?

The Truth: Hey, Carl. Dude, now, I got that little mwah mwah you were after. But, be careful man. People are listening to us. I got a little green village up in the hills, come and get it. Whoa man, I don't know you! I don't know you! Prank caller! Prank caller!

Reward

There is no monetary reward for this mission, although Carl obtains the deed to the garage in San Fierro. Also, The Truth would call, and after it, the mission Are You Going to San Fierro? is unlocked.

Trivia

Though Cesar is the boss of the mission, he is never seen nor heard at all in the mission.
The vehicle Carl uses is a ZR-350 modded with off-road tires, suiting the terrain of the track. It will replace whatever vehicle the player arrives with.
The race path is essentially the same as in the mission Wu Zi Mu, only reversed.
The post-mission phone call is a reference to the movie Pulp Fiction.
Despite the fact that CJ's ZR-350 is black with off-road tires, his car in both cutscenes is gray with stock rims.

-It's time to race. This time, you can't choose a vehicle. You're given a [[ZR-350]], and you must finish in first place to complete the mission. Again, this race is relatively simple. Also, if you will notice, your vehicle is modded with off-road wheels, which means you'll have better handling than the normal ZR-350. All you need to do is drive through different areas in [[Red County]], such as [[The Panopticon]] (starting point), [[Blueberry Acres]] and [[Blueberry]]. It is pretty easy. You just have to know when to turn as arrows could be confusing. The race ends in an area near [[Montgomery]]. When the race is over, Catalina says you had the unfair advantage. She hands you the deed to a [[Doherty Garage|garage]] in [[Doherty]], [[San Fierro]] instead of a pink slip or cash. Claude needs his car so that him and Catalina can go to [[Liberty City in GTA III|Liberty City]].
