The Bravado Feroci is a four door sedan in Grand Theft Auto IV.

Description

Design

Standard model

The Feroci is based on the first generation Lexus GS (1991-1996) with headlights from a second generation second generation Lexus ES but the rear detailing matches neither one. The basic car features a 3.0l V6 badge. A standard Feroci can be found at any district, at any part of Liberty City, though it's commonly found in Algonquin.

JDM VIP

A more highly modified version called the Feroci JDM VIP (though the game still refers it as a Feroci if the player enters it) is driven by the Triads and can be found around The Exchange or Chinatown. It's changes include a yellow Chinese knotting attached to the rear mirror, gold rims, a chin spoiler with body kit, and a slightly modified engine; giving it faster acceleration. The JDM VIP Feroci is primarily painted cobalt blue (although if the player resprays it, it can be painted in a different colour).

The JDM label adds proof the Feroci is a Japanese car. JDM stands for Japan Domestic Market, however the Feroci is branded as a Bravado, which is supposed to be the in-game equivalent of Dodge Motor Company. And VIP refers to a customized Japanese luxury car. It can therefore be assumed that the Feroci is a captive import, a foreign vehicle sold by a domestic manufacturer.

FlyUS variant

FlyUS, the fictional airline featured in GTA IV, uses Feroci's in their company livery and includes a roof mounted light and black stock rims. The FlyUS variant are commonly found at Francis International Airport in Dukes.

Performance

Standard model

The standard Feroci is powered by a 3-liter V6, coupled to a 5 speed gearbox in RWD configuration. Acceleration is acceptable, but not thrilling. Top speed is adequate, but again, not exciting. Handling is good, but is too soft to keep the Feroci cornering at speed. Braking is acceptable, and ABS is available but not standard. Crash deformation is acceptable, and the engine can sustain many direct bullets before catching fire.

JDM VIP

The JDM VIP variant of the Feroci (technically a different vehicle by game files) includes a slightly higher-revving engine, giving it a faster off the line time than the standard model. Top speed has been upgraded as well, making the JDM VIP type brisk and enjoyable. Handling has also been upgraded, keeping the JDM VIP edition flat and level in the corners, while the suspension has been firmed up slightly. Braking is very good, and ABS is standard. Crash deformation is about the same, average. The engine is also about the same as the standard model, average.

FlyUS variant

Being directly based on a standard Feroci, the FlyUS variant is no different to a standard Feroci in terms of performance.

Trivia

• It is interesting to note that the name Feroci is an anagram of "Cefiro", possibly a reference to the Nissan Cefiro whose 1995-1998 and 1999-2003 models also share a similar profile.
• The Feroci shares its interior with the Imponte DF8-90, as "DF8-90" is printed on the seats.
• The default radio station of the Feroci is The Journey.
