Flashback FM is a classic rock and roll station in Liberty City. In the video game Grand Theft Auto III, the DJ is Toni who also appeared as a DJ in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. However, in the video game Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, it is DJ'ed by a male-to-female transsexual who has flashhbacks to being a man and fantasizes about fertilizing herself.

Flashback FM in GTA: LCS

The music is synthesized 1970s music with some lyrics playing. This kind of music is more appropriate for chase scenes or for running over passengers while doing a rampage mission at night.

Flashback FM in GTA III

This music is 1980s pop music done by a single artist, and is most suitable for cruising and exploring the streets of Liberty City with either a wanted level or one or zero. Advertisements also spark nostalgia (Liberty City Medieval Fair is one example).
