Be a Policeman
I just came up with this idea as I was driving around Los Santos. Wouldn't it be cool if you can work as a policeman? I am not talking about vigilante, but more like people who drives around the cities and be a normal policeman. And you are able to call for backup, and you never gets wanted star for shooting people.
Does anyone know if that is possible??
I think that would be a good idea (maybe a future GTA game will feature a re-worked version of the Viglante missions and make them more 'realistic' so to speak). Although, assuming you haven't played it, I would recommend that you try playing True Crime: New York City, it is pretty much a GTA game but you are a police officer. The game does suffer with it's controls and some (minor) glitches, but it had alot of ambition for it's time (2005), not to mention the accurately re-created Manhattan and the fact that most commercial buildings are enterable - they tend to have a generic interior depending on the type of building, but it's a start. Most stores also allow you to buy things like food (for health), medikits, clothes, music, cars and hairstyles. It may not be a true contender for GTA games but, in my opinion, it's alot of fun once you get used to the controls - and it's leaps and bounds ahead of True Crime: Streets of L.A.. Yeah. On VCMP, SAMP, LCS, and VCS online all had avatars with police uniforms, fire uniforms, and other public service uniforms. It would be cool to have certain public service uniforms on GTA IV. Police Officer (SWAT Uniform included), Firefighter, Paramedic, Bus Driver, etc. And a perk with wearing it is that you never get a wanted level. It would be good for cop wannabes and it would make machinima more realistic, so instead of a blue jacket and blue pants, it's a proper police uniform with a badge and gun. 88FanNASCAR 15:42 16 January 2009 (EST)
- That's rather awesome.I'm trying to find the fireman outfit in GTA IV.I saw it one of the commercials for IV.I have no clue if R* modded that commercial to look like Niko was in the outfit or what,But I'm searching hard for it.If anyone wants to help me figure this out,that would be great. - You cannot acquire the fire uniform or police uniform. You can get scrubs though. When you do that mission when you kill that guy in the hospital, you must pick up a doctors uniform before you go in. User:88FanNASCAR 17:46 19 January 2009 (EST)
- I have my hopes.Did you see the GTA IV commercial where Niko blows up the firestation and runs away wearing a fireman outfit?I have it recorded on my DVR and I'm sure He's wearing it,but I don't recall a mission where you blow up a firestation.I think R* just altered the commercial or something cuz I don't recall any of that in GTA IV. I'm not sure if it's on YouTube.I believe the commercial's a little bit less than a minute. It has a song playing in the background.It's on Radio Broker but I'm having trouble finding the song.If I find it on YouTube or figure out which song is playing,I'll be sure to tell you.
