:A Canadian setting would be much to my liking, too. Montreal and Vancouver would be the best cities to duplicate as both are very cosmopolitan and have colorful crime histories. I'd especially like to see ''GTA: City of Ice'' in a Montreal-like setting.

Whatever R* do to the GTA Series, they must keep it in the USA,and only at major cities.
The whole charm of the GTA series is the american dream, the american cities, with all due respect,no Canadian,Europian or Asian setting will work, not for GTA atleast.
About the direction the series took with drama,I dont like it that much,I was always comforted with the silly overall atmoshpere, but GTA IV has enough of it,and it's dramatic ending is just like every other GTA's,maybe a bit more dramatic, but overall, its comparable to San andreas' ending and Vice city Stories'.

I know GTA4 was a masterpiece but I have to ask: Does anyone like the new serious dramatic approach of the GTA games or prefer the chaotic, silly, and sick way the older GTAs were? Another question what locale do you want the series to go? I like the dramatic approach and I would like it in a Canadian setting.

It's a newer technology generation now. Most gamers want better definition on their games and, as you all know, change brings more change. So along with the better definition comes more serious gameplay. So no, I don't believe we'll be driving fully fortified tanks through the streets of Alderney any time soon.
