Steal a sports car, and drive around Alderney and Algonquin for a while. Eventually, one will spawn.
Once you have one, drive around in it for a while and then save it and steal another. GTA games spawn cars similar to ones you're driving either to save resources, or as a feature so you don't lose rare cars to bad luck, poor judgement, or your finger slipping during a turn.
The latter is a nasty way to lose one. I managed to lose an Infernus that way, after losing grip while throwing it around a nearly empty street, clipping a passing car while drifting, and slamming into more cars and a bus shelter to end up resting in the middle of the street upside-down and dizzy.
It was shiny, though.
