Gang Leaders: Difference between revisions

Gang Leaders are the leaders of gangs and appear as main, supporting and minor characters throughout the Grand Theft Auto series. Some gang leaders also have a specific name, such as with a Mafia family gang leader, who is referred to as the Don of the family. The gang leader is the man in charge of the gang and runs the gang on the advice of his advisor and high ranking gangsters, while ordering both them and the gangs regular gangsters to do various jobs and missions. The gang leaders can also employ and rely upon associates to do their bidding or aid them.

Four protagonists in the Grand Theft Auto series have been shown to be gang leaders or co-leaders, namely Tommy Vercetti of the Vercetti Gang in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Carl Johnson in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Victor Vance of the Vance Crime Family in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories and Johnny Klebitz of The Lost Brotherhood in The Lost and Damned. In these games, the protagonist is able to recruit other gangsters to aid them.

Mitch Baker	Leader	Bikers	Alive (as of 1986)	Mitch Baker is the leader of the Bikers gang based in Vice City. He may have been the gangs leader in 1984 when they were involved in various criminal activities. He is known to ally himself with Cougar, Zepellin, Tommy Vercetti, Kent Paul and Love Fist.

El Burro led the gang into new forms of criminal activity, including illegal street racing, and are also involved in the pornography industry. He is known to ally himself with the Sicilian Mafia and Claude.
Catalina	Leader	Colombian Cartel	Deceased	Catalina was the leader of the Colombian Cartel gang based on Staunton Island and Shoreside Vale, Liberty City. Catalina led the gang into new forms of criminal activity, in particular the manufacturing and sale of SPANK through the gang along with the Triads, Uptown Yardies and Purple Nines. She is known to ally herself with Miguel, Claude, Curly Bob, King Courtney, the Triads, Yardies and Purple Nines.
King Courtney	Leader	Uptown Yardies	Alive (as of 2001)	King Courtney is the leader of the Uptown Yardies gang based on Staunton Island, Liberty City. Courtney led the gang into new forms of criminal activity, primarily the drugs trade. He is known to ally himself with Toni Cipriani, Mike, Claude and the Colombian Cartel.
D-Ice	Leader	Red Jacks Southside Hoods	Alive (as of 2001)	D-Ice is the leader of the Red Jacks and, from October 2001, the leader of the Southside Hoods following the end of the Purple Nines, their allies in the Southside Hoods. He is known to be against the drugs trade and leads the gang in various other criminal activities. He is known to ally himself with his brother, Toni Cipriani and Claude.
Ricardo Diaz	Leader	Diaz' Gang	Deceased	Ricardo Diaz was the leader of Diaz' Gang based in Vice City. He leads the gang into Vice City and into the drugs trade, becoming the biggest gang in the city. He is known to ally himself with Gonzalez, Juan Cortez, Lance Vance, Victor Vance and Tommy Vercetti.
Franco Forelli	Don	Forelli Family	Unknown	Franco Forelli is/was the Don of the Forelli Family who may have been killed when Fort Staunton was destroyed at the hands of Toni Cipriani. Franco had, prior to 1998, led the Forelli Family into new forms of criminal activity, primarily through controlling Liberty City Liberty City, Roger C. Hole, until his death, also at the hands of Cipriani. He is known to ally himself with the Leone and Sindacco families, along with the main gang in Sicily.
Sonny Forelli	Don	Forelli Family	Deceased	Sonny Forelli was the Don of the Forelli Family from an unknown point in time until his death in 1986 at the hands of Tommy Vercetti, formerly a loyal Forelli Family mobster. Sonny had led the Forelli Family into various new forms of criminal activity, primarily the drugs trade in Vice City. He was known to ally himself with the rival Leone and Sindacco families, along with the main gang in Sicily, the Vance Crime Family and Ambulance-chasing lawyer Ken Rosenberg. He is advised by Harry and Lee.
Cedric Fotheringay	Leader	Liberty City Bikers	Deceased	Cedric Fotheringay was the leader of the Biker gang based in Liberty City. He led the gang into the drugs trade and illegal street racing. He is killed by Toni Cipriani in revenge for hitting Maria Latore, whom he is known to ally himself with.
Carl Johnson	Co-leader	Grove Street Families	Alive (as of 1992)	Carl Johnson is the co-leader of the Grove Street Families based in Ganton, Los Santos. He is known to be involved in turf wars with the Ballas and Los Santos Vagos, as well as taking a stance against the drugs trade. He is known to ally himself with his siblings Sweet and Kendl, Big Smoke, Ryder, B Dup, Big Bear, OG Loc, Emmet, Cesar Vialpando, Catalina, The Truth, Dwaine, Jethro, Zero, Wu Zi Mu, Guppy, Ran Fa Li, Mike Toreno and Madd Dogg.
Asuka Kasen	Co-leader Leader	Yakuza	Deceased	Asuka Kasen was the co-leader of the Yakuza based in Liberty City until October 2001 and the gangs leader after the death of her brother Kenji. She is known to be involved in gambling, sushi restaurants, protection, human trafficking and gun running. She is known to ally herself with Mike, Claude and Maria Latore.
Kazuki Kasen	Leader	Yakuza	Deceased	Kazuki Kasen was the leader of the Yakuza based in Liberty City until his death at the hands of Toni Cipriani. He led the gang into Liberty City as well as into gambling and gun running. He has no known allies.
Kenji Kasen	Co-leader	Yakuza	Deceased	Kenji Kasen was the co-leader of the Yakuza based in Liberty City alongside his sister Asuka until his death at the hands of Claude. He and his sister led the gang through gambling at Kenji's Casino and also in selling stolen cards. He is known to ally himself with Kanbu and Claude.
Salvatore Leone	Don	Leone Family	Deceased	Salvatore Leone was the Don of the Leone Family between the mid 1980s, when he took control in a power struggle involving his brother, and October 2001, when he was killed by former associate Claude. Salvatore had led the Leone Family into various new forms of criminal activity, including running his own casino and becoming involved in the drugs trade. He was known to ally himself with the rival Forelli and Sindacco families, along with the main gang in Sicily, the Colombian Cartel, Uptown Yardies, Southside Hoods, Mayor Miles O'Donovan and media mogul Donald Love. He is advised by Toni Cipriani, Joey Leone and Luigi Goterelli.
Uncle Leone	Don	Sicilian Mafia	Alive (as of 1998)	Uncle Leone is the Don of the Sicilian Mafia. He led the gang into new forms of criminal activity, primarily involving attempts to move into Liberty City at the expense of their main allies, the Forelli, Leone and Sindacco families. He is also known to ally himself with his nephew Salvatore Leone and advisor Massimo Torini, who also formed alliances with the Triads and Diablos.
Ran Fa Li	Leader Shuk Foo	Red Gecko Tong San Fierro Triads	Alive (as of 1992)	Ran Fa Li is the leader of the Red Gecko Tong, based on the west coast of the United States, and the Shuk Foo of the Triad gang based in San Fierro. He is known to be involved in gambling. He is also known to ally himself with Wu Zi Mu, his main advisor in the Triads, Su Xi Mu, Guppy and Carl Johnson of the Grove Street Families.
T-Bone Mendez	Leader Co-leader	San Fierro Rifa Loco Syndicate	Deceased	T-Bone Mendez was the leader of the San Fierro Rifa and the co-leader of the Loco Syndicate, both based in San Fierro. He is known to lead the gang into the drugs trade, working as part of the Loco Syndicate alongside Jizzy B. and Mike Toreno. He is known to ally himself with Jizzy, Mike Toreno and Carl Johnson.
Wu Zi Mu	Leader Dai Dai Lo	Mountain Cloud Boys San Fierro Triads	Alive (as of 1992)	Wu Zi Mu is the leader of the Mountain Cloud Boys and the Dai Dai Lo of the Triad gang, both based in San Fierro. He is known to be involved in gambling (with his betting shop and casino), and was also involved in a casino heist. He is known to be against the drugs trade. He is known to ally himself with Ran Fa Li, his direct superior in the Triads, his advisor Guppy, Su Xi Mu and Carl Johnson of the Grove Street Families.
Auntie Poulet	Leader	Haitians	Alive (as of 1986)	Auntie Poulet is the leader of the Haitians who led them into Little Haiti, Vice City. She leads the Haitians into the drugs trade and is known to use drugs to gain control over people. She is known to ally herself with Tommy Vercetti.
Umberto Robina	Leader	Cubans/ Los Cabrones	Alive (as of 1986)	Umberto Robina is the leader of the Cubans/Los Cabrones based in Little Havana, Vice City. He is known to have the gang be involved in illegal racing. He is known to ally himself with Victor Vance and Tommy Vercetti.
Paulie Sindacco	Don	Sindacco Family	Deceased	Paulie Sindacco was the Don of the Sindacco Family from an unknown point in time until his death in 1998 at the hands of Toni Cipriani. Paulie continues to run the family in the same direction, through gambling (with Caligula's Palace and [[The Dolls House) and adult entertainment (with Paulie's Revue Bar). He is known to ally himself with the Forelli and Leone families, along with main gang in Sicily.
The Snakehead	Leader	Da Nang Boys	Deceased	The Snakehead was the leader of the Da Nang Boys based in Da Nang, Vietnam and San Fierro from an unknown point in time until 1992, when he is killed at the hands of Carl Johnson of the Grove Street Families. He is known to be involved in smuggling people from Vietnam into the United States. He has no known allies.

The three are known to lead the gang into the drugs trade. He is known to ally himself with Jizzy, Mendez, Carl Johnson and his fellow government agent.
Victor Vance	Leader	Vance Crime Family	Deceased	Victor Vance was the leader of the Vance Crime Family based in Vice City. He built the gang up in 1984 to becoming one of the biggest gangs in the city and involved in the drugs trade, robbery, protection, prostitution, racketeering and loan sharking. The gang, however, leaves the city in 1984 and returns in 1986 for a deal with the Forelli Family where Vance is killed. He is known to ally himself with brother Lance, Ricardo Diaz, Gonzalez, Phil Cassidy, Armando Mendez, Diego Mendez, Reni Wassulmaier, Barry Mickelthwaite and Phil Collins.
Tommy Vercetti	Leader	Vercetti Gang	Alive (as of 1986)	Tommy Vercetti is the leader of the Vercetti Gang based in Vice City. He builds the gang up from its beginning and into various new criminal activities, including protection, the drugs trade and selling stolen vehicles, along with owning various legal businesses. He is known to ally himself with Lance Vance, Ken Rosenberg, Juan Cortez, Phil Cassidy, Avery Carrington, Steve Scott, Earnest Kelly, Maude Hanson, Delores, Love Fist, Kent Paul, Mercedes Cortez and Mercedes Cortez.
Cesar Vialpando	Leader	Varrios Los Aztecas	Alive (as of 1992)	Cesar Vialpando is the leader of the Varrios Los Aztecas based in El Corona, Los Santos. He is known to lead the gang into the illegal street racing scene in Los Santos, as well as taking a stance against the drugs trade. He is known to ally himself with Carl and Kendl Johnson, Gal, Hazer, Sunny, Jose, Dwaine, Jethro, Zero, The Truth, Wu Zi Mu and Guppy.
Marty Jay Williams	Leader	Trailer Park Mafia	Deceased	Marty Jay Williams was the leader of the Trailer Park Mafia based in Little Havana, Vice City. He is known to lead the gang into robbery, protection and prostitution. He is known to ally himself with Phil Cassidy and Victor Vance.
