The garage functions almost identically to the Pay 'n' Spray garages in later games - the only difference is that the player immediately loses their wanted level. Like in all games, government/law enforcement vehicles (and gang cars) cannot be resprayed, although buses are exempt from this rule. Taxis are not resprayed, instead, they have the plates changed.

- Another Rockstar Games video game series, Max Payne is referenced to the paint garage itself. Coincidentally, Max Payne wasn't released until 2001.
