The Hachura is sports car featured in Grand Theft Auto 2.

Description

The Hachura is fashioned as a retro-futuristic two-door sports coupé, complete with tailfins and a four-pillar front windshield. Its internal name (STRIPETB) does not indicate any real-life inspiration, but the car can be described as having several visual similarities with a Facel Vega HK500.

The Hachura's performance is generally favorable, with fairly good acceleration and top speed, as well as good braking response and an ability to corner and powerslide tightly. When crushed, the car awards the player a Rocket Launcher pickup.

Trivia

An early iteration of the Idaho in GTA III, then known as a "Hachura".
  • During development of GTA III, the Hachura name, as indicated on Capital Autos's website, was to be used for a large two-seat coupé, before the car was renamed as the "Idaho".

Locations

The Hachura in GTA 2 appears in traffic exclusively within the Residential District of Anywhere City, and does not appear to have parked locations in the district.
