The Hunter from VC is back. It hasn't changed much, still looks and handles the same, only it's easier to acquire one. It has mounted machine guns with auto-aim ability and rockets. It's the fastest helicopter in the game. One always spawns at the Desert Airstrip if you have all golds in flight school.
The Hunter is the standard offensive/defensive helicopter in the Grand Theft Auto Series. It is based upon the U.S. AH-64 attack helicopter. The hunter is featured on Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, and can be obtained on Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories*.
The Hunter is a very deadly vechicle, having a .50 caliber self-targeting machinegun, and can shoot two unguided rockets at once. Like its cousin the [[Rhino]] it has infinite ammunition. The helicopter features the ability to be used as a vigilante vehicle, and it is known as "brown thunder". In terms of damage to the helicopter, it is not BP/FP/EP like the Rhino, but can survive long while being shot at.
It can be obtained on Vice City by either collecting 100 packages (the early method) or completing the mission "keep your friends close". After doing one of these the helicopter will spawn at Fort Baxter air base.
In San Andreas it can be obtained on the naval base ship (automatically giving you a 3 star wanted level) or if you complete all golds in flight school it will spawn at the Verdant Meadows flight strip, giving you much easier access. *In Liberty City Stories it is ONLY obtainable by cheat disk (ie. AR MAX, Gameshark) and is not seen at all throughout the game.
