The "Hydra" is the first jet fighter to appear in any GTA game. Its concept is derived from the Mcdonnell Douglas(now Boeing)/British Aerospace AV-8B or the Gr.7 Harrier. Its engine and Exhaust systems are from the Harrier so are as its wing although its forward part looks like it came from the F-16 Fighting falcon. It carries no gun only missiles that could be used as non seeking or seeking air to air/air to ground missile. It carries flares as countermeasures. Its the fastest aircraft in all of san andreas and one of the easiest to fly even though it is one of the most agile aicraft. It could be attained by a cheat code or at "Easter bay naval station" at "Verdant Meadows" air strip after "vertical bird" at sweets house afer 100% completion and at "Area 69" after "black project"

-The Hydra is a Vertical Take-Off and Landing (VTOL) craft. When entered, it is on ''hover'' mode by default. When in this mode, it controls like a helicopter, though is somewhat harder to control. Once jet mode is enabled, it can control like a jet, and can go at very fast speeds.
