The Los Santos Police Department (LSPD) is a police force in Grand Theft Auto V, responsible for policing the city of Los Santos. The LSPD is based on the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD)

Overview

Very little information is currently known about the LSPD, other than the design of their police cars and their motto, "Obey and Survive". It is also speculated that female police officers will be present in-game for the first time.

Currently, the only known vehicles in use by the LSPD are the Police Cruiser and the Police Maverick, it is not yet known if the LSPD drives any other type of police car. (i.e. The Police Patrol) One scene in the first trailer for GTA V shows a number of burning emergency vehicles, including a police car with no lightbar. This indicates that the LSPD may use slicktop police cars alongside normal ones.
