Litter is the name given to loose trash and derbris found in every Grand Theft Auto game since Grand Theft Auto III. Most litter contains newspapers, leaves and other general items of trash.
Description
In GTA III-GTA: Vice City Stories, trash mostly contain newspapers and leaves. In the case of GTA IV, items can include coffee cups, old newspapers and discarded cigarettes. Most to all objects are 2-D particle images, for example newspapers. In Grand Theft Auto IV there are even more debris, like forklift crates and lumber pieces in the roads and water and the rusted Wrecks of cars scattered about.
Trivia
- Since Grand Theft Auto III most newspapers carry the headlines related to the game's storyline, for example in Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories some newspapers use 'Not Ferry Good' as the headline relating to the Union Workers Strike, which occurred in the beginning of the game.
- Piles of rubbish around Liberty City have purple dildos hidden within them, mostly as dirty jokes from the developers.
- Trash bins around the city will produce litter when turned over but the litter will eventually disappear.
- One of the possible glitches GTA IV, is where some pedestrians will drop their cellphones, suitcases, books and MP3 players and run when Niko rushes by them.
