Maurice Caine

Maurice Caine is a character in Grand Theft Auto: London, 1969 and Grand Theft Auto: London, 1961 who can be chosen as a protagonist by the player.

His name and appearance are based on the famous British actor, Michael Caine, whose most notable movies include British crime films like The Italian Job (1969) and Get Carter (1971). Maurice is Michael Caine's real first name (Maurice Micklewhite).

His wardrobe (cheap eyeglasses and drab trenchcoat over a dress shirt and tie) is based on Caine's earlier iconic portrayal of Len Deighton's gritty anti-hero spy "Harry Palmer" in the films The IPCRESS File (1965), Funeral in Berlin (1966), and Billion Dollar Brain (1967).
