Merle Abrahams, also known as The Infinity Killer is a character in the HD Universe mentioned in Grand Theft Auto V.
Character history
Merle Abrahams was born in 1956, presumably in Sandy Shores, and later lived in a house in the town. At an unknown time, presumably in the late 1990s, he became obsessed with both the number 8 and the infinity symbol. In 1999 Abrahams killed eight people while they were jogging and later dumped their bodies off the northern coast of Blaine County, close to Paleto Bay, wrapping the bodies up and weighing them so as to prevent them from surfacing. The police could only find circumstantial evidence and Abrahams did not confess, although he was later convicted and sentenced to prison, being imprisoned at Bolingbroke Penitentiary. His house was also burnt down by Sandy Shores residents and a message was written on the back of the house reading "Go away Merle Abrahams, you're a wrong'un". Despite being convicted in 1999 and being partially burned down, part of the house remains standing in 2013. Abrahams died while in prison in December 2004.
Clues
Abrahams leaves many clues to the murders, including a map at Bolingbroke showing the area where he left the bodies.
- A rock in the Grand Senora Desert reads:
One is done
Two was fun
Three tried to run
Four called mom
Fives not alive
Six is nix
Sevens in heaven
8 won't wait
- Another rock, located close to the one mentioned above, also has a clue written by Abrahams.
They want me they can have
But they'll never get my people
Even though I shall leave them sign enough
Where they put me
- A message on a wall inside Bolingbroke Penitentiary has another clue.
Where water meets land and fire once spewed forth
There the infinite 8 shall stay
Until I return
Trivia
- The player can find all eight of Abrahams' victims around a group of small islands in the north of Blaine County.
