Mike was a member of Diaz's Gang who joined the Vercetti Gang after Ricardo Diaz is murdered by Tommy Vercetti and Lance Vance. He first appears in the mission The Party where he and an unnamed goon accompanies Ricardo Diaz to Juan Cortez's boat party. Mike also accompanied Tommy to extract protection money from the Front Page Café and take out a group of men from the Patrol Invest Group during mission Bar Brawl. He is later sent by Lance Vance to blow up the Tarbrush Café during mission Cop Land, however the bomb failed to detonate. Tommy and Lance then go to finish the job.

He might have been killed during the mission Keep Your Friends Close, as Forelli gangsters can sometimes be heard saying "Get Mike".

Mike is a parody of the character "Ernie" from the 1983 film Scarface, a film that many elements of GTA Vice City are based on.
