The Nailgun was originally planned as a weapon for Grand Theft Auto: Vice City but was later taken out of the game. The Nailgun was going to be manufactured by DUDE. There has been no explanation of why the nailgun was removed. It does appear in the game, but only as a non-interactive prop on the walls of hardware stores.
