Officer Carver was scheduled to be a character in the Grand Theft Auto series who was dropped during the development of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. Carver would be a member of the Los Santos Police Department who would try to close the net around fellow officers Frank Tenpenny, Edward "Eddie" Pulaski and Jimmy Hernandez. Carver would attempt to have Tenpenny's ally Poncho arrested in the hope that he will talk. Tenpenny would subsequently order protagonist Carl "CJ" Johnson to kill Carver in the beta version of the mission Doberman.
