It is owned by someone called Eddie and upon escaping [[LCPD in GTA III Era|police]] custody, [[Claude]] and [[8-Ball]] use this place to lay low. If you look in the safehouse, there is a bed, cooker etc but more notably, a tropical poster featuring a palm tree from [[Vice City]]. The safehouse is in an alley in the [[Red Light District]]. In [[Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories]] a [[Collectibles|hidden package]] is found behind a couple of trashcans next to the house-door. The Portland Island Safehouse in Grand Theft Auto III is the first place the player can save at. It is owned by someone called Eddie and upon escaping police custody, Claude and 8-Ball use this place to lay low. The safehouse is in an alley in the Red Light District. In Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories a hidden package is found behind a couple of trashcans next to the house-door. The safehouse also includes a garage which can store one vehicle.
