In the previous GTA's (from 2007 and below) the engine they used only used recorded scripts which never let the player enjoy a unique gaming experience. This resulted in the fact that when you hit a [[pedestrian]] with a car, they would unrealistically become flat no matter what way you hit them. A fixture of this is that in IV the script lets people see the pedestrians react regarding where they've been hit such as limping or tumbling over the car. The reaction is never the same which allows players to discover and experience the game in a whole new though 'realistic' way. The [[RAGE]] engine triggers a huge impact on the graphics, making them look more stunning then ever before and more new improvements such as entering the interior of a building without the use of a loading screen have been achieved.
