The Rustler is a WWII fighter plane in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, based on the North American P-51 Mustang (Wings, canopy, fuselage) with features derived from the Curtis P-40 Warhawk (empennage, propeller, air scoop). It is fast and has very good maneuverability, as expected from a fighter. It has 6 machine guns in the wings but is as delicate as a flower, as even gently scraping a wing against an object during takeoff (or any other time, for that matter) can cause the plane to explode.
It is used for most of the missions at the flying school, and for a mission with Mike Toreno. It is also used at one of the checkpoint races in Las Venturas. It is found in one of the open hangars at Easter Bay International Airport or at the Verdant Meadows airfield.
