Safehouses are locations in GTA games where the player can save their game. In GTA games, the user cannot simply go into a menu and save, they must find a save point or safehouse.
Safehouses are a subset of save points, which consist of a floating save icon. A safehouse, however, is an actual building housing the save icon that the protagonist must physically enter. In Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and GTA IV safehouses also offer a wardrobe in which to change the player's clothing.
- In Grand Theft Auto 1 they are saving buildings.
- In Grand Theft Auto 2 They are also saving buildings marked Jesus Saves.
