The sound has one estuary that leads to Fisher's Lagoon.  There are four bridges that cross San Andreas Sound; from the east, they are the [[Martin Bridge]], [[Fallow Bridge]], [[The Mako Span]], and the [[Frederick Bridge]].

The Sound was placed there to keep players from leaving [[Red County]] and [[Los Santos]] early.  Since players could now swim, however, that didn't go as planned so it remained for aesthetics and looks.
