Taking the Fall is a mission in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories given by Lance Vance to protagonist Victor Vance from his house in Ocean Beach, Vice City.

Mission

Lance is talking to their accountant on the phone just as Vic enters. The two have a brief talk before heading out. When outside Vic asks Lance about who stole the yayo of theirs. Lance after thinking for a minute mentions the Bikers being guilty for that. Vic flies a Maverick over to Starfish Island, where some Bikers are riding on their bikes. When Lance kills them all, Vic flies over to the hotel in Downtown so Lance kills more Bikers. After a shoot-out, Lance looses balance and falls off the helicopter, while the chopper itself catches on fire. Vic then bails out of the chopper and starts making his way inside the hotel to find Lance. When all the Bikers are dead, Lance comes out of a room on the hotel with a bike. When Vic asks him where the coke is, he says they were already sold and rides away on a ramp leading away from the hotel.

Script

(Lance, Vic Vance inside Lance's apartment.)

Lance Vance: Yeah, I'm Lance T. Vance, baby! 'T' for tulips in Thailand. Great. Yeah, look, I gotta go. A'ight. Later.

Victor Vance: So who was that?

Lance Vance: Oh, bro, that's just the accountant. He's getting us a better rate at cleaning the money.

Victor Vance: And you call the accountant "baby"?

Lance Vance: Well, yeah. I'm a friendly guy. And "baby" is slang, you know? I don't love him. I ain't like that.

Victor Vance: Yeah, hey, whatever you say.

Lance Vance: Anyway, we got real things to worry about. Someone's been helping themselves to the stash. The Mendez's are freaking out, and I told 'em we'd take care of it.

Victor Vance: Aw, that's the last thing I need, on top of everything else.

Lance Vance: What are you talking about? What's wrong?

Victor Vance: Oh, man, it's just... Louise. I really thought we had something, but... we just don't get to see each other.

Lance Vance: Yeah... Well, you know, relationships can be tough. Believe me, I know. Uh-huh. Yep. Come on, man, we got some thieves to deal with. You can take out your sexual frustrations on them! Come on. Let's pop!

Victor Vance: Yeah.

Lance Vance: You know, I love you, bro. Aye...

Victor Vance: So who's been stealing the yayo?

Lance Vance: What? Oh... Yeah, uh... it's... the bikers.

Victor Vance: You sure?

Lance Vance: Yeah. 'Course I am.

Victor Vance: You don't look it.

Lance Vance: Well, I guess I'm just gonna have to prove it to you. You do the flying, I'll do the frying! Come on, let's take it to 'em!

(Victor is flying and Lance spots some Bikers.)

Lance Vance: I can see a bunch of those ugly mothers down there. Take us in closer. I'm gonna pop a few heads. That's it! Run, you sissy boys! Eat it! I'm so good I'm bad! Chew on lead, biker boy! There's more on the roof!

(The chopper is damaged, Lance falls out of the chopper.)

Victor Vance: We're hit!

Lance Vance: Ooooh, shiiiit!

Victor Vance: Lance!

(All the Bikers are dead, Vic goes to find Lance.)

Victor Vance: Lance, are you there?

Lance Vance: Hey, Vic! Look what I found!

Victor Vance: You're alive! I thought you were dead.

Lance Vance: No, man. I landed on a few soft bikers. Now I've got me a new bike! Yeah!

Victor Vance: Never mind that. Where's the stolen coke?

Lance Vance: Uh, yeah... Uh, they probably sold it already, the bastards. I'll see you later, bro.

Victor Vance: I don't even know why I bother sometimes.
