What's the source for 2013 being the year in which GTA2 is set? I don't remember ever hearing the year referred to in-game. --MattyDienhoff 15:53, 7 January 2009 (UTC)

There is no source and no confirmation that GTA 2 is set in 2013. The game was set in the near future, which may be 2013, although it could be any year. However, 2013 is mentioned on the GTA 2 website, as dates for journal entries and for police records. A-Dust 15:57, 7 January 2009 (UTC)

Matty is right - this needs to be explained somewhere on the wiki. It isn't common knowledge, and it isnt obvious, so we should explain why we believe it to be that year. Funnily enough, it isn't mentioned on the GTA 2 page except in the infobox. Gboyers ^talk 19:36, 7 January 2009 (UTC)
