Driver actually is a GTA Clone. Grand Theft Auto 1 (and its series of the same name) was created in 1997, Driver was made in 1999, which was the same year that Grand Theft Auto 2 was created. Also, Driv3r only began focusing more on the (terrible) out of car action after GTA III hit the big time (ie. got extremely popular). ALso, GTA III could have (and would have) switched to a 3D game without the interference of Driver. But since technology advances, GTA III could have been released as a 3D game without the influence of the Driver series. You gotta think, if a person is on a website called "Grand Theft Wiki", I'm pretty sure they know the difference between an actual GTA game and a "Clone" like Saints Row.
