"Los Santos" is Spanish for "The Saints", so it could be a joke, as most people in the city are hardly "saints" (good people) at all. Sgt. S.S. 10:55, July 8, 2010 (UTC)

I see where you're coming from, but I think the city was named Los Santos as a reference to the city it's based on, Los Angeles, which means 'the angels'.
