Is it just me or were Rockstar a little racist when considering swimming? Before GTA IV, all the light-skinned protagonists could not swim. While Carl Johnson and Vic Vance, both dark-skinned, can swim. This could be a real-life reference to the (bad) stereotype that black people can't swim, but Rockstar decided to reverse this as a (kind of racist) joke (in fact one of my friends playing GTA SA with me said that the reason why Carl could swim was because he was black). The only light-skinned protagonists that can swim are Niko Bellic and Huang Lee (I know he is Chinese, but still light-skinned). Kanzler31 03:21, 22 November 2010 (UTC)

Ever considered technical limitations?--spaceeinstein 04:16, 22 November 2010 (UTC)
That's quite a funny observation, but quite simply they only built it into VCS, SA and later games. Simply wasn't a feature before then, not a remark on the race. What about Jonny (TLAD) and Louis (TLAD)? Gboyers 08:34, 22 November 2010 (UTC)

Noticed something while swimming on GTA IV on the Xbox 360

While swimming around in the water after jumping out of a heli and landing way back to where u couldn't see the city, I swam back and while nearly there I started to notice my health bar was going down slightly (About an inch) every second I was in the water, I got on land but I'm curious if that was a glitch or not. also, if it isn't a glitch, when can I have confirmation to place it onto the page that you possibly cannot stay into water too long in Grand Theft Auto IV? --TheJustinAllenK
