The Tank is a vehicle in Grand Theft Auto and Grand Theft Auto 2, which is used by law enforcement in all four cities (Liberty City, Vice City, San Andreas and Anywhere City). The Tank is regarded as a special vehicle in GTA due to its extraordinary strength and ability to blow up vehicles by driving over them or using the turret to shoot at them. The turret however, has limited shots when the player uses it. The Tank, from GTA III onwards, becomes known as the Rhino. The Tank is known as Royal Pain in GTA London, 1961 and the Tiger Tank in GTA London, 1969. It appears when the player gets a Six-Star wanted rating. The is an extremely deadly enemy because its powerful cannon and can only be damaged with explosives. They're used to blockade roads, but will shoot at the player while doing this. Like other vehicles in GTA2, it can't be stolen when used in a blockade. Although it posses great firepower and is very durable, it's not good to use against tank blockades because it's a very easy target for other tanks, whose cannons will make short work of it. Despite the fact that the Tank is very durable, it is however, weak, as it cannot withstand gunfires or explosives, thus causing the tank to blow up. Once the player gets in the Tank, the player will have to drive around the city. If the player gets out, the Tank will never be driven again because the doors is locked shut, rendering it useless for the player to drive the Tank again.
