The Families
The Families a black street gang based in Los Santos, San Andreas, in Grand Theft Auto V. Franklin Clinton, one of the game's main protagonists, is associated with the gang. The Families hold a bitter rivalry with the Ballas and Vagos. Their gang color is green.

The Families are the HD successor to the Grove Street Families from Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.
Sets and Territory
The Families control the Chamberlain Hills and Strawberry neighborhoods in South Los Santos. They used to control Grove Street, but want taken by the Ballas at an uncertain time.
There are three distinct sets of the Families in GTA V.
- Chamberlain Gangster Families (CGF): CGF is the largest set and their territory consists of the entire Chamberlain Hills neighborhood. They're also referred to as "The Hills" or "Killer Hills". Franklin and Lamar are affiliated with this set.
- Forum Drive Families (FDF): They're mainly based in Forum Drive, Strawberry.
- Carson Avenue Families (CAF): They're mainly based in Strawberry around Carson Avenue.
