The Green Sabre (car)

The Green Sabre is a specific and prominent vehicle during the storyline of Grand Theft Auto San Andreas. Sometime in 1992, corrupt C.R.A.S.H. officers Frank Tenpenny and Edward "Eddie" Pulaski, as well as secret Grove Street Families defaulters Melvin "Big Smoke" Harris and Lance "Ryder" Wilson acquired a Sabre; whether is was picked out green or painted green after is unknown, though it is suggested that the colour of the Sabre was either to mock the Families or to allow them to get into the heart of Grove Street so that the Ballas driving it can kill Families leader and deuteragonist Sean "Sweet" Johnson.

However, the plan goes sour, as the Ballas accidentally killed Sweet's mother Beverly Johnson. Later on, after Sweet's younger bother Carl "CJ" Johnson comes back to Los Santos for his mother's funeral, Varrios Los Aztecas leader Cesar Vialpando discovers the green sabre and the people associated with it, later revealing its history and mystery to Carl at a tragic moment which sparks off a dangerous chapter of revenge. This is the only time the Green Sabre is seen in-game, though it appears throughout The Introduction.
