The Tracksuit is a recurring item of clothing in the Grand Theft Auto series, appearing in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories (as "Sweats") and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories. As the name states, it appears as a tracksuit with matching colors. They each have different appearances and purposes depending on the game.
GTA Vice City
In GTA Vice City, the tracksuit comes in two variants: a red tracksuit with yellow stripes and a black tracksuit with white stripes, spawning in the Brownstone Laundromat and the Downtown Jocksport respectively. Although it is not intended to be obtained until Mainland is opened to the player after "Phnom Penh '86", the red tracksuit is available from the beginning of the game; the black variant is only unlocked after "Supply & Demand". Like other clothing pickups, changing into them will remove up to a two star wanted level, even if the player is already wearing a tracksuit of a matching color.
The black tracksuit is thought to be modeled after one worn by Henry Hill during his stint in prison in the early 1970s in Goodfellas (Henry was played by Ray Liotta, who also voiced GTA Vice City protagonist Tommy Vercetti). The red tracksuit is presumably a recolor of the black tracksuit.
GTA Liberty City Stories
The tracksuit outfit in GTA Liberty City Stories is known as "Sweats", composing a blue tracksuit with a zip-up top with a matching blue pants, a white undershirt and white trainers. The outfit is unlocked after completing "A Walk in the Park" for Salvatore Leone, during which the player kills Roger C. Hole while he is jogging in the park.
GTA Vice City Stories
The tracksuit in GTA Vice City Stories comes in only one variant: Red with white low tops. It also makes Victor Vance sprint longer distances without slowing down, .
It is unlocked after developing a High Roller drugs empire site.
