Turn On, Tune In, Bug Out is a mission in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories, given to protagonist Victor Vance by his brother Lance from his apartment in Washington Beach, Vice City

Mission

Victor stops by the apartment of his brother to find that the place has been bugged by the DEA. In an attempt to permanently interrupt their transmissions, Victor drops by Ammu-Nation and buys a rocket launcher. He then makes his way to the police stations in Washington Beach, Little Havana, and Downtown Vice City in order to destroy the radio antennas the DEA is using for gathering evidence.

The name of the mission is taken from Timothy Leary's pro-LSD catchphrase, "Turn on, tune in, drop out".

Script

Victor Vance: Lance!

Lance Vance: Oh, no.

Victor Vance: Lance, get over here and explain yourself.

Lance Vance: Sssh!

Victor Vance: Stop acting like a child.

Lance Vance: (More insistently) Sssh!

Victor Vance: Don't you shush me.

Lance Vance: Keep your voice down...

Victor Vance: No. You can barely tie your own shoelaces, and you're telling me how to behave?

Lance Vance: WILL YOU SHUT UP, YOU STUPID GORILLA?! THE PLACE IS BUGGED! THE DEA IS ONTO US! HAPPY NOW?

(Victor runs outside, with Lance following.)

Lance Vance: Hey, where you going, man?

Victor Vance: We're gonna have bugs in all our places.

Lance Vance: And by the time you've found them all, we'll be halfway through a long jail term!

Victor Vance: What am I supposed to do?

Lance Vance: These bugs transmit long range... so knock out all the police antennae. The DEA won't even get a signal from these things.

Rewards

The reward for the successful completion of this mission is $300. The Rocket Launcher is now avaliable for purchase at the Ocean Beach Ammu-Nation store.
