:GTA IV's original release date was to be October 2007 before it was pull back to April 2008. I hardly believe that development gap was spent designing vehicles, let alone drawing inspiration from a vehicle that only surfaced during the later half of that time. A used car ad on TV in the game suggests the truck's design may have already been settled long before the Raptor surfaced. Maybe it was a late edition, one of the final cars to be put in the game. | |||
It could be possible when they were deciding what vehicles to put in the game they put the name on the don't know pile and came back to it when the game's release date was put back, Maybe that's why the contender is a good car | |||

Regarding your revision, could you provide a reference of a 2004-2008 Ford F-150 Raptor in existance?
The only thing I can dig up from that name is the 2010 F-150 SVT Raptor [1] [2], which is obviously unlikely to be the basis for this truck. - ZS 17:45, September 15, 2009 (UTC)

Maybe it was a late edition, one of the final cars to be put in the game. It could be possible when they were deciding what vehicles to put in the game they put the name on the don't know pile and came back to it when the game's release date was put back, Maybe that's why the contender is a good car
