:The original purpose behind them was to make it easier to find images, for use in places like the main page, banner, other related pages and general usage. If we just had 'Screenshots of GTA IV' that would have thousands of images in and would be completely unusable. Splitting them up into characters, vehicles, buildings/businesses and weapons is pretty straightfoward - with 'missions' showing events. I'm not sure whether this is the best way, but I'm definitely open to suggestions. gboyers talk 09:37, 29 April 2013 (BST)

::Maybe, but isn't that why we have the standard categories (Category:Characters in GTA III) do we really need a new category for only images? Surely the screenshots can just go in the original. And do we really need a screenshot template for every category if we keep them? Also, I have concerns on character pages. In the character history section someone put information which isn't even in the game.

I think this is ridiculous seeing this on every character page when as far as I know, there is no evidence whatsoever that says this. --Gta-mysteries 03:36, 9 May 2013 (BST)

:The problem with using the normal categories (instead of specific image categories) was this: When a category has more than 200 items in it, it splits it up over several pages. Unfortunately, if there were more than 200 images in a category (but only 5 articles), it would also spread the articles across several pages. So we ended up having 1 article listed on every page (because it split it by first letter), so even in a category with 5 articles we had to go several pages just to even see one of the articles. Using separate categories was the best way to fix that. However, now I believe this has changed so that articles and images are paginated separately. So having images in the normal article categories might now be a better option. I'll run this past A-Dust.
:As for the information in Mike Forelli - you're right that should not be there as it's pointless waffle and potentially inaccurate. I definitely think we need to have an opening sentence (Mike is a member of the XYZ gang in XYZ game) but if we don't have anything more to say we should definitely not be inventing things, making random guesses (born in LC) or trying to generate a backstory that has no canonical backing in the game. Okay maybe in this situation it's highly likely that he would have been a member for many years, and that he 'rose through the ranks' - both are complete assumptions. Saying 'probably born in LC' is pointless too. So yes - we should correct that and any other similar examples.
