Some players have reported that at different points during the game, the Statue of Happiness's face will change from the normal "happy" face, to a angry, somewhat frightened face. Many players have said the face will change during a darker or more violent time during gameplay. Others have said if Niko has a high wanted level, or has killed many people and caused a high amount of property damage, the change might occur. Some theories state that you have to shoot the Statue's face, body or heart to see it, so far, none of these theroies have been proven to work.

Ghawar explosion in Out of Commission
Some fans speculate that during the end cutscene of Out of Commission when Jimmy Pegorino is killed, in the background you will be able to see an explosion, supposedly that of Ray Bulgarin's plane exploding from the final scene of The Ballad Of Gay Tony (But no concrete proof).
In updated version of GTA IV (patch 1.06 for PS3), the fireball is much bigger, there is more fire and it appears two times.
This does not happen in the "Deal" ending because in that option, Niko kills Dimitri on Happiness Island before Luis kills Bulgarin, thus Niko's story ends first.
However, in the "Revenge" ending, both Niko's and Luis' stories end simultaneously, and it is likley that this is indeed Bulgarin's jet exploding.
