As a result of the botched diamond deal, Niko and the McReary mob kidknap Tony's friend Gracie Ancelotti in order to coax Tony and Luis into trading back the diamonds for Gracie herself. Gracie's father threatens to kill both Luis and Tony unless they go through with the deal and return Gracie. Under threat from Bulgarin also, they decide to take their chances with Bulgarin and trade the diamonds.
