Assault SMG: Difference between revisions

The '''Assault SMG''' is a SMG in [[The Ballad of Gay Tony]]. It is based on the Belgian [[wp:FN P90|FN P90]] [[wp:personal defense weapon|personal defense weapon]]. In real life, the P90 uses the proprietary [[wp:5.7x28mm|5.7x28mm]] cartridge; however, in-game, it shares its ammunition with other SMGs. It is outfitted with a functional [[wp:suppressor|suppressor]] as minimal muzzle flash is produced when the weapon is fired; however, it cannot be used for stealth attacks as firing the weapon out in the open attracts attention. The Assault SMG is one of the first [[wp:bullpup|bullpup]] weapons offered in the GTA series. It is perfect for heated gunfights and easy to carry due to its light and compact size. It is more accurate than the [[MP5|SMG]] and holds 50 rounds per magazine; however, it has less stopping power, a real-life criticism of the P90 and its proprietary ammunition, and takes longer to reload, owning to the fact that Luis finishes the reloading animation by briefly looking down the sights, adding about 3 seconds to the reloading process. If hiding behind low cover, like a car, Luis and the multiplayer player will take longer reloading the SMG (5 seconds). Unlike other SMGs, the Assault SMG '''cannot''' be used by the driver of a vehicle under normal circumstances. [[NOOSE]]'s Tactical Response Unit and the [[Federal Bureau of Investigation|FIB]] use this weapon against the player in addition to their regular SMGs and [[AR-15|Carbine Rifles]].
