People read too much on simple game design. The point she is constantly there to make the encounter available at all times. Otherwise, players will stumped to why she dies from ODs at inconsistent times.

* It can be assumed that Margot didn't actually take any pills before her first encounter. The reason being she will stay alive no matter how long the player takes to get her to the hospital. Therefore she may have just set up the charade for the attention.
