The Jetpack is a 60 million dollar vehicle in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. It is quite unique as it floats like a weapon when not in use and is activated when Carl Johnson walks into it. The Jetpack gives the player the ability to fly while being on foot, allowing for both high-flying exploration and for super-fast "hit and run" assults on enemies, although it moves relativily slow. It was an experiment by the military deep underground in Area 69, however, Carl Johnson steals it for The Truth in the mission Black Project. CJ takes it to Verdant Meadows where it re-spawns from then on. CJ later uses it to attack a military train in the mission Green Goo. The Truth appears to be the only civilian, other than Carl, to know of its existence. The Jetpack has a unique design, with omnidirectional nozzles and dual fuel tanks. Strangely the nozzles do not seem to burn or hurt CJ, despite being inches from his shoulders. The only other way to obtain the Jetpack is through cheats. When using the Jetpack the player can only fire one handed weapons, as well as dual wielding them. The Jetpack is useful for when the player is trying to reclaim all of the hoods in Los Santos because it allows the player to quickly move around the different enemy gang areas to speed up the process.
